TV GUIDE Magazine Selects Aysling Digital Media Solutions for WoodWing CMS Integrations

New Multi-Media Channel solution implemented by Aysling Digital Media Solutions

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TV GUIDE Magazine has selected Aysling Digital Media Solutions to integrate and support WoodWing's Enterprise 7 content management solution as part of TV GUIDE Magazine's digital publishing workflow.

Launched nationally in April 1953, TV GUIDE Magazine's premiere issue featured Lucille Ball with her newborn son, Desi Arnaz, Jr., on the cover. Today, TV GUIDE Magazine is one of the most popular magazines in the country, and over 14.5 million readers continue to enjoy in-depth articles, previews and national TV listings each week.

"TV GUIDE Magazine is an American icon," states Shawn Duffy, the Managing Director at WoodWing USA. "We are pleased to have TV GUIDE Magazine join the WoodWing family."

By migrating to a "paperless" workflow environment with Enterprise 7 and utilizing the capabilities of Content Station, TV GUIDE Magazine has significantly reduced the Editorial Review and Quality Assurance process that is essential to the publication's daily workflow. Additional productivity gains were achieved with the open-end scripting customization available with Enterprise 7 for a substantial number of daily tasks that have now been automated.

"Given the increasing user demand for TV GUIDE Magazine content on a daily and weekly basis, we are pleased to be working with Aysling Digital Media Solutions to manage the high volume of content we create and distribute across multiple channels," said Al Robertson, Director, Production Management at TV Guide Magazine.

"Workflow efficiency is key for controlling cost when it comes to design, production and distribution, especially when you have very short production cycles," states Patrick Becker, President of Aysling Digital Media Solutions. "Aysling was selected by TV GUIDE Magazine given our approach, knowledge base and history for delivering exceptional cross-media solutions for the publishing industry."
