Fry operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Production shifts are 12 hours, with workday rotation schedules of five on/two off/two on/five off or seven on/seven off depending on the department.

The Bindery Revival of Trade Craftsmanship (ROTC) Program takes qualified people with no experience and teaches them to be an operator of a binding machine.  In the process they will also learn bindery team jobs: loader and assistant.  These careers start on night shift, with a guaranteed minimum starting pay rate of $16/hr. You will receive production incentive pay which may make your actual pay even higher.

The Press ROTC Program also takes qualified people with no experience and teaches them to be press operators.  In the process they will also learn the press team jobs:  helper, roll tender, inksetter, and 2nd press operator. These careers start on night shift, with a guaranteed starting rate of $20/hr.

No experience needed, but applicants must be used to hard work, highly motivated, detail oriented, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn. Applicants must satisfactorily pass a standard intelligence test, a mechanical aptitude test, a physical examination and a drug screen.
