Fry operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Production shifts are 12 hours, with workday rotation schedules of five on/two off/two on/five off or seven on/seven off depending on the department.

At Fry, the Entry Level Bindery and Press positions start between $16/hr and $22/hr. You have immediate opportunities to advance – driving you to be better than yesterday. Through our Accelerated Training program, we will teach you a skilled trade and give you the opportunity to earn more than $22/hr in your first 2 years. As your career progresses, there are multiple upward paths available, as we are continuously looking for our next group of leaders to excel within the organization.

Fry is among the largest magazine and direct-mail printers in the U.S. Fry is closely following the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), and implementing processes that promote the safety of our employees, candidates, customers and community. We follow all CDC and local health authorities, federal and state government guidelines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Remove product from stacking machines at the end of the printing press or finishing machine.
  • Work with loose and/or completed product by stacking onto pallets, transferring to tables and placing into a collator hopper or into mail bags.
  • Move product/skids with a hand jack, motorized Raymond (Big Joe) lift or Forklift (training provided).
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Effectively communicate with team members.
  • Assist other crew members with various duties including webbing up of the press and/or special handwork in order to meet customer requests.
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18-years of age or older
  • Printing, factory, or other mechanical work experience a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to write and read measurements.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • The ability to use a computer/manipulate touch screens
  • The ability to use repetitive hand/wrist movement
  • Ability to lift 30 to 60lbs as needed
  • 12 hour shift (6pm to 6am or 8pm to 8am) 7 days over a two week period with 7 days off with the potential of working overtime.

 

Customer Service Positions

The Customer Service Account Administrator (CSAA) is the primary point of contact for a customer and principally responsible for achieving customer satisfaction. You will work directly with customers to develop project requirements and disseminate these requirements to downstream production departments from prepress through shipping.
 
Required Skills and Education
At minimum, a high school diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in printing, publishing, or project management is preferred. Ability to practice touch typing and read/write at a minimum of an 8th grade level is required. Command of at least basic geometry and algebra is beneficial. This position requires the ability to think critically, communicate at a high level and take the lead on problem solving.
 
Working Conditions
As a CSAA you will work a minimum of 40 hours per week. We are currently working a hybrid on-site/off-site schedule. Hours are somewhat flexible in order to accommodate customer schedules, however your approx. 8+ hours/day must be worked between 6am and 6pm. Dress code in office is business casual. 
 
Responsibilities
1. Reporting project specifications to Fry Estimating department for quoting
2. Managing customer manufacturing schedules
3. Working with sales representatives to understand customer business model/strategy
4. Working with customers to develop distribution and packing guidelines for each job
5. Documenting press runs for prepress and manufacturing
6. Documenting bindery manifest for manufacturing
7. Managing inventory of supplied inserts
8. Documenting mail requirements for data processing postal staff
9. Managing inventory of supplied paper
10. Communicating customer billing requirements
11. Keeping an organized filing system of job records
12. Keeping an organized directory of customer contacts
13. Working with scheduling and management to resolve project jeopardies
14. Interacting professionally with a variety of personalities
