Hurricane Impact Update - September 13, 2017

Florida, Georgia, South Carolina

In response to Hurricane Irma, the USPS has stopped delivery, retail, and receiving operations throughout Florida and selected coastal GA and SC post offices today. Delivery and drop shipments are planned to resume tomorrow in northern FL and GA and SC. Mail processing and delivery in much of central and southern Florida remain suspended until further notice.
In particular, the USPS has embargoed all Marketing Mail for the following 3 digit zips until at least 9/13. That is somewhat redundant as all operations at the servicing post offices are suspended indefinitely.:
     South Florida – 330, 331, 332, 333, 334, 340, and 349;
     Suncoast – 321, 327, 328, 329, 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 341, 342, 346, and 347.
This is, of course, a very fluid situation. Fry will continue to monitor the postal situation throughout the regions affected and resume dispatch of your mail as quickly as we can.

As stated previously, in the near term, many Customers can expect to see higher than normal freight costs, as well as possible delays, due to the limited supply of available trucks.

Between Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, normal freight patterns have been disrupted, there is increased trucking demand to meet the need for large quanities of emergency supplies and building materials in the affected areas, and fuel prices are increasing. Hopefully this will be a relatively short-lived situation. We will continue to work with our carrier base to move freight as timely and as cost-effectively as possible.
