2009 AGS Program Committee encourages Program Proposals that help the Society fulfill its Mission and Goals for Continuing Education. The following is a list of topics that the Professional Education Executive Committee (the group that oversees the Society's continuing education program) has determined are of interest to clinicians, educators, and researchers who work with older adults:

General Principles of Aging
  (demography of aging, biology of aging, psychosocial aspects of aging, pharmacology, legal and ethical issues, health care finance, and CPT coding issues)
Approach to the Older Patient
  (hospital-based and community-based geriatric care, nursing home care, geriatric assessment, preventive geriatrics, physical activity, rehabilitation, palliative care, and complementary and alternative medicine)
Geriatric Syndromes
  (dementia, delirium, urinary incontinence, hearing and vision impairment, malnutrition, eating and feeding problems, osteoporosis and osteomalacia, falls and gait disturbances, dizziness and syncope, pressure ulcers, sleep disorders, and elder mistreatment)
